Teaching Observation and Narrative: Key Components tot he OT Assessment Process - Faculty PD
Observation and narrative assessment are key components to the client-centered approach of occupational therapy. Narrative helps us to understand the client’s story within their own contexts and experiences. Observation assists us in understanding the facilitators and barriers to individual’s nuanced performance and participation. This course provides ways to incorporate narrative and observation into teaching and learning methods to encourage student critical reflection, professional reasoning, and knowledge translation.
